Glitz, Glamor and all for a good cause… in the spirit of the holiday giving! Holiday House is open to tour in order to raise money for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, founded by Iris Danker. Iris, having her own personal experience with breast cancer, made it her mission to spread awareness by marrying her two passions, interior design and the wellness of women. Celebrating it's 7th year, Holiday House is hosted by Traditional Home and provides a magical experience for guests while supporting a significant cause.
The 19th century, architecturally, elite home sits on prime real estate overlooking Central Park. The industry’s most distinguished designers are selected to design a specific space within the Holiday House. Each space has a unique appeal, yet stays authentic and true to the theme selected for the home. The theme this year: Fanciful and Elevated Holidays.
Our New York Design Showroom (NYDC) located on 200 Lex partnered with an array of brilliant interior designers and donated products to the home. The fashionable Darrin Varden was designated the Valentine's Day bedroom. He used lustful burgundy's and our Lava Rock Coffee Table to add a sinful appeal to the room.
The fashionable team at, Stacy Garcia, INC. designed the Arbor Day space. Challenged with a small hallway space, Stacy brought the area to life with gorgeous blue and green hued flooring. Our Gold Log Stools, sprinkled the space adding a witty and glamorous statement.
And finally, Calder Design Group (all hail Calder!) created a After the Ball Drops room. Our Gold Feathers whimsically danced on the jeweled emerald walls. The space promised good fortune for a year to all that entered its domain.
We were humbled and honored to participate in this magnificently meaningful event. The designers are magical beings who have mastered the art of choosing well rather than often. We were so happy to be a “choice" and are looking forward to many more! As the enchanting Holiday season approaches, we encourage you to visit the house and support the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. The show house is open to the public daily from 11-5 and is running until December 2nd.
